Welcome!
Since 1993, we’ve been a home for Theravada Buddhism and Insight Meditation in mid-Missouri.
If you’re curious about meditation, new to the Dharma, or a seasoned practitioner, we offer a variety of ways to support your journey and discover a path to greater well-being through mindfulness. All are welcome.

Regularly Scheduled Events
Every 4th Saturday Silent Retreat
Show Me Dharma offers a one-day silent retreat on the 4th Saturday of each month, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
(no ZOOM option).
Participants at all levels of practice are welcome. Please bring your own lunch and arrive at 8:45 a.m. for basic meditation instructions if you are new to the practice.
We will begin sitting at the top of the hour, i.e., 9 a.m., 10 a.m., 11 a.m., etc. with a break for lunch from
12 to 1 p.m. You may arrive throughout the day. However, we ask that you arrive during a walking meditation
time (45-minutes on the hour).
For more information, call Tricia at (573) 554-6441 or Carl at (573) 268-8844.

Dharma & Democracy Forum
On November 5th, 2024 our country entered a new chapter in its evolution as a democracy. Projections into the future abound regarding how we individually, collectively as a nation and globally as a world will be impacted by the results of this election.
To rise and meet this moment, we can, in Roshi Halifax’s words, cultivate a strong back and soft front. Love is the most important muscle in transformation. In this moment, what is love asking?
